What Exactly Does Pet Sitting Include and Entail?

I will look after your pets when you’re not able to be with them. I am fully insured, have had a police check within the last 12 months and you will find references from previous customers on the Home tab.

Dog minding can happen in either your home or mine. For all other fur babies, we will discuss which location will work best. (I recommend whenever possible for pet sitting to be in your own home, as most animals are more comfortable and confident in their own environment.)

Included in any overnight or doggy day care booking is 1 x 30 minute walk. 

I only have fur babies from one family at a time staying with me – I don’t accept multiple pet sitting bookings at the same time. 

I will send you updates during my time with your pets. This will generally photos / videos and short stories about what they have been up to or how we’ve spent our time together.

How the process for a booking works:

1. We will start with a meet and greet. During this meeting I will want to meet the pet(s) and if applicable, see where I will be staying. We will discuss what it is that you need for your pets, as well as talk about their habits, medical history, and any special requirements.

2. At our initial meet-and-greet, I’ll spend time with your fur (or feathered) babies while you’re present. This helps them feel safe and supported as they get to know me, and keeps the introduction more relaxed and happy.

3. To keep everything clear and comfortable for everyone (including the pets!), I’ll send through a brief agreement to sign before the first booking. It only takes a moment and makes sure all the important details about your pet’s care are confirmed.

4. If everyone is happy to proceed, next step is to book in dates!

If the booking is to be longer than a couple of nights and the opportunity is available, it is a good idea to book in a play date (or two) prior to the start of the stay. This helps for the pet to be more comfortable with me by the time we get to the point of you leaving them with me overnight.
