Why a Meet & Greet is Essential

A meet and greet is all about us all getting to know each other, and giving your pets a chance to start getting to know me. It gives you the opportunity to meet me in person, ask questions, and decide if I’m the right fit for you and your fur or feathered family member.

Most importantly, it’s your pet’s moment to decide too. We need to be sure that they can give me the “paw of approval.” Not every pet warms to every person, and that’s completely normal. Your pet’s comfort and happiness are my top priority, so it’s important we make sure they feel safe and relaxed with me.

What I’ll Ask You

During our chat, I’ll be asking questions to help me understand how I can best take care of your pet, and to get to know their personality a little better. This might include:

• Are they allergic to anything, or is there anything medical I should be aware of?
• What is their favourite toy?
• What are their feeding and exercise schedules?
• What are they scared of?

If I’ll be staying in your home, I’ll also ask a few practical questions, such as:

• When is bin night?
• Do you want the garden watered?
• Any household routines or preferences I should follow

These details help me keep everything running smoothly while you’re away.

What I Need From You

The most important thing I need is honest information. The more I know, the better I can care for your furry or feathered baby, which in turns helps me to make sure that they stay calm and confident while you’re away.

I also want you to feel completely comfortable. Feel free to ask anything you like, and please know it’s absolutely okay to speak with multiple pet sitters before making your decision – you don’t need to decide right then and there! This is about finding the right match for both you and your pet.
